I am an artist, former teacher and art therapist who lives on the NW coast of Tasmania. An art school graduate, I facilitate therapy sessions whilst pursuing my own arts practice.
I reside on a beautiful chunk of the north west coast of Tasmania, and my work is focused on who I am through where I live. I currently paint and teach from my studio, with a view of the rugged north west coastline as a continual inspiration for my contemporary impressionist landscape.
I paint on canvas, using mixed media to develop layers of texture to create depth and mystery. My major focus is capturing moments in time; reflecting on the beauty, atmosphere and presence experienced there. I build layers of memory in to my work, so that pattern and texture narrate the history of a place. I like to call my pieces - artifacts of home.
I have exhibited work in various spaces and galleries throughout Tasmania, Melbourne and Brisbane.
